Sunken Garden, Tent 1

Join N'est Pas in the Sunken Garden for an afternoon of music and fun. N’est Pas is a rock band formed around 1985 at William & Mary by several brothers in the Theta Delta Chi fraternity. Band members include:

  • Clem Cheng ’86
  • John “Rocker” Hendrickson ’88
  • Chris “Squareman” Neikirk ’88
  • Charles "Chip" Puskar '87
  • Art “RT” Schmalz ’88
  • Dennis Whelan ’87

The band played many of their early shows on the campus of W&M and later took the act on the road to several other Virginia colleges, including Washington & Lee, Hampden-Sydney College, U.Va., UNC and NC State to name a few. Their repertoire spans mainly rock tunes from the 70s and 80s and a healthy dose of originals, including their most popular song, “Walk the Bridge,” about William & Mary’s Crim Dell Bridge.
