Integrated Science Center - Room 1280
The William & Mary AI Club will host its first-ever AI Case Competition during Fall 2025 Homecoming Weekend, combining the innovation of a hackathon with the strategic depth of a case competition. Open to undergraduate students in teams of three, the event challenges participants to design AI-powered web applications that foster collaboration in classrooms and research, with an optional marine and benthic science track focused on ocean data and field research. Teams will present functional demos, code repositories, and strategic frameworks while competing for $13,000 in participation awards distributed across entry, intermediate, finalist, and specialized track tiers. Judged by faculty, alumni, and industry professionals, the competition emphasizes creativity, technical execution, feasibility, user impact, and presentation. With catered meals, networking opportunities, and a keynote address, the Caseathon will serve as a landmark event to showcase W&M student talent, encourage interdisciplinary teamwork, and highlight the role of AI in shaping the future of education and science.
