Please join us for the annual Computer Science Student Awards ceremony followed by a Schmidt Family Distinguished Lecture by Prof. Wu. All are welcome to join for a reception after the talk.

Prof. Hongyi “Michael” Wu (University of Arizona) will present: "A Holistic Approach for Accelerating Privacy-Preserving Deep Learning" This talk will address the fundamental challenge of protecting data privacy in Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems, and present innovating computational techniques that enable secure processing of sensitive information while maintaining the efficiency needed for practical applications. Hongyi “Michael” Wu is the Thomas R. Brown Leadership Chair and Department Head of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Arizona. His research focuses on security and privacy in intelligent computing and communication systems. He is recipient of the NSF CAREER and he is an IEEE Fellow.
